The Chelsea Flower Show 2021 will be run for six days from Monday 21st- Friday 26th September at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea. The event has been around for almost 108 years. However, the Coronavirus Pandemic resulted in the cancellation of the Chelsea Flower Show 2020, its first time since World War 2.
What is the Chelsea Flower Show Event?
The RHS Chelsea event is the most famous gardening event in the world. It aims at inspiring people to grow and garden, which is vital for improving health and the environment.
What will this year’s event be like?
The Covid pandemic has changed many things in the world. Organisers of this year’s event say it will look and feel a bit different. Instead of holding the show in spring, it will be held at the start of autumn. This will provide exciting challenges for designers. They look to introduce new elements which will reflect the changes many have gone through, hoping it will spark more love for gardening. This year’s event will also be the first to run for 6 days instead of 5. This is to allow fewer people to attend because of social distancing protocols. There will also be an addition of two categories, Container Gardens and Sanctuary Gardens.

Tickets went on sale last year. Those who had purchased for the original dates will be contacted by RHS to reorganise. Tickets are still up for sale for those wishing to attend the event.
